Operations Sindoor: India Launches strikes deep inside Pakistan.

INDIA STRIKES PAKISTAN OVER PAHALGAM ATTACKED: "OPERATIONS SINDOOR"

On April 22, 2025, a tragic terrorist attack occurred in Pahalgam, Kashmir, where gunmen killed 26 people, mostly Hindu tourists, and injured 17 others. The group responsible, The Resistance Front, is linked to the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba. India accused Pakistan of supporting these militants, leading to create tensions between the two countries.

India Response:

In retaliation, India launched "Operation Sindoor" on May 6, 2025, targeting nine sites in Pakistan and Pakistani-administered Kashmir, including alleged terrorist camps and infrastructure.

The strikes resulted in civilian casualties, with at least nine people killed and 38 injured in Pakistan. Pakistan reported shooting down five Indian aircraft in response.

Diplomatic Measures:

Following the attack, India suspended the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan, which governs the sharing of water from rivers flowing between the two nations. India also closed the Wagah-Attari border crossing, expelled Pakistani diplomats, and revoked visas for Pakistani nationals under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme. These actions were taken to pressure Pakistan to cease support for cross-border terrorism. India also banned all the Pakistani drama and serials, all channels and all the Instagram I'd of different Pakistani celebrities.
